Lil Man went to the doctor yesterday because he had some funkiness going on between his big toe and the "pointer" toe. She thinks it's a combination of a few things (caused by sweaty feet from tap and just being in shoes and socks), ezcema, callouses, corns and possibly warts. So she has him soaking his feet nightly and me filing them and apply medicine, along with keeping his feet aired out and putting on clean fresh socks immediately after he changes out of his tap shoes. Praying it takes care of this for him. I feel so bad for him.

5 O'Clock Shadow

Edward was in the bathroom yesterday when I was brushing my teeth, and he grabbed a can of shaving cream and his little play razor that he got with his Diego Bathroom set a couple of Christmas's ago. He proceeds to squirt some of the shaving cream on his hand to apply to his face. I ask him what he is doing, he says he is going to shave. I convince him that this is not a good idea at the time, the shaving cream might get on his clean shirt and we're head out the door to go play with friends at the splash park. He says "Okay, Mommy!" This morning, he comes to me and announces that he is going to go shave his "beard". He goes into the bathroom lathers up with shaving cream, "shaves" and then comes out to have me check to see if he has left any shaving cream on his face. He smelled of shaving cream and had a smooth face. He is just growing up so fast....before I know it he will really have a 5 O'Clock Shadow and need to shave.

We met up with the Kimmel Family at T-Rex Cafe in Kansas City for Edward's 7th Birthday celebration. It was so great to see them and spend the evening with them. The kids had so much fun. None of my babies, are babies anymore!

We took Edward to the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City for this 7th Birthday. We stayed in one of their Kid Kamp Rooms. It was a weekend all about him. I think that he had fun....well he at least seemed to be having fun.

Edward graduated from the Kindermusik program today. I must say I don't regret on bit the time or money we invested in this program for him. I know I hear a lot of parents say it is to expensive and not worth the time. I strongly disagree. You have to invest in your child for their sake, and I feel that this program benefits children in more ways that any parent who hasn't gone through the program can understand. Sometimes I think that even parents who have gone through the program don't fully understand 100% all the benefits that their child(ren) have gained from these classes and experience. If I was musically inclined I would teach these classes myself, that is how strongly I feel about them. I know that this will be something that will go with Edward all through his life. Of course a good teacher is a HUGE plus and we were blessed with great teachers pretty much through out our whole experience with the program.

Kirk bought Edward this Lego set in Feb 08 when he was in Minnesota at the Mall of America. Edward loves it and he took most of these pictures himself.

Fresco Painting

We learned about Crete and as a part of our lesson, we choose to make a Fresco Style Painting. I am sad to reporter though that after it was completely dry you couldn't make out the picture that we had painted, so it met the trash can. But it was still fun to do.

A Master Piece

Okay first let me say this, I am no longer a Jon and Kate plus 8 fan, but before things went south...I had watched them on and off. I saw this one episode where she took them to an art school (or something like that) and the little kids did these really cool paintings. As soon as I saw this, I wanted to do something similar with Edward. We used Acrylic Paints, Aluminium Foil, a plastic fork, a plastic knife, a painters knife, sponges and various paintbrushes. We did do it and it is hanging above our fireplace. I want to get it framed.
